Happy Tuesday everyone! Every day I ask myself one question: what can I do better for my personal brand today for the long-term vision?
Sometimes it's hard for me to answer this question, because there are so many ideas, but so little time in the day to make it happen! So, I prefer to just go with the flow toward my goals and adjust something in the process as I see fit at one point in time.
Anyway, I'll highlight for you 5 ways to improve your personal brand (including Web3) that I apply in my experience and that might work for you as well!
Let's begin!

1. Build a full online presence
Building a full online presence is an essential component of personal branding in today's digital age. Your online presence can be your first impression on potential followers, and therefore, all subsequent content that you will generate, it will already complement you as a person and reflect your personal brand.
Here are some tips to help you build a full online presence:
Create a website with a blog section
Optimize your social media profiles (Twitter, Instagram, Linkedln…)
Publish valuable content
Communicate on Discord servers
Prioritize your attention on the most important things. You must understand why you are taking every step you take. Otherwise you run the risk of doing everything "for the record" and you will simply lose a lot of time without visible progress.

2. Create an association with your brand
Creating an association with your brand is essential to building a strong and memorable personal brand. By associating certain qualities or values with your brand, you can establish a unique and recognizable identity that resonates with your target audience.
Here are some tips to help you create an association with your brand:
Define your brand's values
Use storytelling
Come up with an object as a brand symbol
Come up with a memorable slogan/phrase
Be authentic
I'm not going to lie that all of the above items can be accomplished quickly. It's a long enough process that takes months, if not months, then many years.
As a rule, it's all constantly taking shape over the years, and it's hard to tell if a particular phrase you just came up with will sound good in a few months or years. So use benchmarks to understand the vector of your direction.
I encourage you to check out how Ray Chan, the creator of 9GAG & Memeland, does it. I'm sure you'll find some inspiration from this.
3. Forget about numbers
Let's not hide the fact that when the number of subscribers and activity in your social networks, media platforms & newsletters constantly grows, it's always nice. But when our attention is focused entirely on getting more likes, followers, money, and so on, we lose sight of our main goal.
By focusing solely on numbers: engagement farming on Twitter, the race for 10,000 followers, we're trying to get more and more dopamine. And if reality differs from your expectations, and the numbers are far from what you would like to get, it leads to burnout and apathy.
Believe me, I was in this state for a long time in 2022 experienced the full range of negative consequences from this kind of activity.
Only a focus on the process and quality of your work can make you mentally stable in this field. Even if you're only writing for 5 subscribers.
I've learned to enjoy my low level of activity (compared to last year), especially when I see new people coming in on the back of that.
For me this means that people come because of quality, not quantity.
4. Invest your time in new skills
In 2021, everyone in the Web3 space was interested in exceptional flipping on NFT collections; in 2022, everyone wanted to build their own collections. As of today, the Web3 community has already gone through the stage of accepting that a bear market has happened and we have to live with it somehow.
Now we're not just surviving, we're learning something new every day that might get us closer to our goals for the coming bullrun. If we don't do it now, we certainly won't do it sometime later.
Learning new skills gives you the advantage of improving your personal brand and building on that to make your content bigger and better.
Here are the skills you can use in both Web3 and Web2:
SMM
Marketing (Web3 / Web2)
Copywriting (Threads, Newsletters, Blogs)
Website creation with no-code (WordPress, Wix, Tilda)
Design
Video editing
Content creation
There is a great misconception that an artist must be an artist and nothing more. It worked before, but not today.
Today, organically gaining an audience is an art
Good blogging is an art.
Captivating content is art.
Brilliant marketing is an art.
An artist is a combination of different skills in one person who is able to present a particular content to the masses in the most graceful way possible.
5. Tell your story
I talked recently about how the best content you can publish to be authentic is content based on your experiences. Even if it was negative.
And it works best because no matter what niche you work in, you will always be an expert for someone else. Even if you don't present yourself that way to them.
You can even be an expert at creating cool memes!
Even as I write this text for you now, I am telling you my story from an experience I am going through right now.
Each time I try a different method of content creation and improve my approach to it. So I'll have something to tell you and share my results in the future!
To summarize, all of your skills, strengths and weaknesses can be improved to infinity. There is no limit to perfection.
The main thing is not to forget what you are doing it for.
